Driver Education Certificate

A Beginner Driver Education (BDE) course from MP’s Driver Education is a key step toward your Ontario licence. It gives new drivers structured training and earns you a certificate that reduces your road test wait time and is recognized by insurance companies.

Once you finish: We submit your completion electronically to the Ministry of Transportation (MTO). The certificate is added to your official driving record and shortens your G2 road test wait from 12 months to 8 months.

For insurance: Request proof of your certificate at ServiceOntario — your insurer will need it.



In-Class (20hrs)

Our 20 hours of theory prepares students for the road by providing them with extensive knowledge in order to promote safe driving. During in-class instruction, two tests are administered of which an average grade of 70% must be achieved to pass.



Home-Link (10hrs)

The Home-Link workbook is a part of our curriculum used to help students prepare for real driving scenarios. The workbook must be completed at home and submitted by the student prior to the completion of the in-car component.



In-Car (10hrs)

Our in-car component offers 10 hours of one-on-one instruction where we will endeavor to teach the following:

Driving is a privilege, not a right
Increase personal observation skills
Reinforce road etiquette and courtesy
Emphasize driver knowledge and responsibility
Proper driving techniques for city and highway driving
Parking and turning manoeuvres
Introduction to multi-lane driving
Emergency manoeuvres
Road surface changes



Course Completion

When in-car instruction is near completion, a practice road test will be done of which a passing grade of 70% must be achieved to pass.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After failed attempts from other schools, I was recommended MP drivers ed and did my lessons with Taran, and then Wendy on test day. They both corrected every single thing that was wrong and helped me to pass my drivers test very smoothly and excellently well. I would like to give a serious thank you to Wendy, Taran, and all the other instructors that help anybody pass their driving test and feel absolute confidence in driving. 1,000% recommended

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. MP Drivers Ed was the right choice!

Signing up was quick and easy. Every interaction was pleasant right from the start.

My instructor Ranjit was absolutely Amazing!!

Her training for my G road test made the actual test feel like reflex.

She narrowed in on areas for improvement quickly and gave very clear and constructive guidance that was easy to absorb.
I walked away from every single session with the feeling of substantial forward progress!

She was also very accommodating when scheduling around my chaotic night shift work availability.

Thanks so much!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’m so grateful for the support and guidance I received from my driving instructor, Ranjit. She was incredibly patient, encouraging, and calm throughout my lessons, which really helped build my confidence behind the wheel. She took the time to explain things clearly and gave me practical tips that made such a difference. Her support played a huge part in helping me pass my G driving test. I would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a patient, supportive, and knowledgeable instructor!
