Prevention of COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

MP’s Driver Education is dedicated to the health and safety of our employees and customers. As our company responds to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) safety measures have been implemented for our in-car and in-class portions of our program. Keeping everyone safe, remains our top priority and the following safety measures must be followed.

 

In-car safety measures:

  • You must let your instructor know with as much advanced notice as possible if you are feeling unwell, or have any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 that include:
    • Fever (temperature of 37.8°C or greater)
    • New or worsening cough
    • Shortness of breath (dyspnea) Other symptoms of COVID-19 can include:
    • Sore throat
    • Difficulty swallowing
    • New olfactory or taste disorder(s)
    • Nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain
    • Runny nose, or nasal congestion – in absence of underlying reason for these symptoms such as seasonal allergies, post nasal drip, etc.
    • or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.

  • Your in-car instructor will ask you screening questions before your scheduled driving lesson.
    1. Do you feel unwell?
    2. Do you have any of the symptoms of Covid-19?
    3. Have you been exposed to anyone with Covid-19?
  • You must sanitize your hands before you get into the vehicle for your driving lesson (provided).
  • You must wear a face covering, (if you do not have one a face covering can be made available for a small fee).
  • All high touch points in the vehicle will be cleaned and disinfected between students.

 

In-class instruction will have the following safety measures in place. 

  • You must not enter MP’s Driver Education office if you have been feeling unwell, or have any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 that include:
    • Fever (temperature of 37.8°C or greater)
    • New or worsening cough
    • Shortness of breath (dyspnea) Other symptoms of COVID-19 can include:
    • Sore throat
    • Difficulty swallowing

    • Nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain

  • You must sanitize your hands when you enter the office (provided).
  • All high touch points will be cleaned and disinfected daily.
  • Please adhere to all social distance markings on the floor and maintain a social distance of 2 metres or 6 feet from all others you encounter. 
  • All payments are to be made electronically. If you must pay by cash or check a scheduled appointment must be made with the office before your program start date.

Our team has been trained on all safety measures. These are new processes for everyone involved and we appreciate your patience as we work through all of these new protocols.  If you have any other special considerations please let the office or your instructor know.
